I thought Fever 1793 was such a moving book. The author portrayed Matilda with such detail I felt like I was right alongside her, sharing in her anguish, her frustration, and her joy. Not only that, but I also learned a lot about medicine in the 1700s that surprised me. I recommend that all children read it because it is so well written and is a great history lesson on how far medicine has come.
