Reviews for A Pocketful of Goobers--A Story about George Washington Carver
RatingComments
5Like most six-year-olds, my son loves peanut butter. He is also interested in historical figures. Therefore this book--though it's intended for older children--was a perfect fit. My son liked hearing about Carver's travels, the way he overcame obstacles, and how, under pressure, Carver found various uses of peanuts. The story of this great man teaches the importance of determination, grace under pressure, industriousness, patience, and creativity. It inspired my son--and me as well!
