5"A great addition to the American Girls collection
Reviewer: A reader
"I have been reading American Girls collection books since I was nine and am now 17. This book fits perfectly with the series. It helps you to see how Kit's daily life has changed because of the Great Depression, how she can no longer get the things she once liked, like books and clothes and dance lessons. The book also begins to show how she now differs from her friend Ruthie, whose father still has a job at the bank. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the American Girls Collection.
