Description
Cesario Estrada Chavez was an American labor leader and civil rights activist. Along with Dolores Huerta and lesser known Gilbert Padilla, he co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, which later merged with the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee to become the United Farm Workers labor union. He was one of the key figures in the nation-wide Delano Grape Strike from 1965-1970.
